Antenatal ultrasound is arranged at PCPNDT-registered partner centres, on your doctor's prescription. Dating, anomaly and growth scans follow your obstetrician's schedule.
Sex determination of the foetus is not done, and is a criminal offence under the PC&PNDT Act, 1994.
Bring your prescription and photo ID. The centre completes Form F before the scan.

How much does an ultrasound cost?
From ₹640 for upper or lower abdomen, ₹1,200 for whole abdomen or obstetric. Doppler and specialised studies cost more — we confirm before booking.
Do I need a prescription?
For pregnancy scans, yes — it is a legal requirement. For others it is strongly preferred, so the report reaches a doctor who can act on it.
For abdomen scans, yes — 6 to 8 hours, water allowed. For kidney, bladder and early pregnancy scans you may need a full bladder instead. We tell you which when you book.
Ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, and is the standard imaging used in pregnancy.
