Every visit is by a nurse qualified GNM or B.Sc Nursing.
The nurse carries an emergency kit including injectable treatment for a severe allergic reaction.
Used needles go back with the nurse in a sharps container.
What we will not do at home
A first dose of something you have never had before.
A serious reaction can begin within minutes. That is manageable in a clinic and it is not manageable in a flat. So the first dose is given here. Every dose after it can come to you.
Vitamin and immunity drips.
There is no good evidence they help a healthy person, and putting a cannula into someone who does not need one carries a real risk of infection. We would rather not put one in for no reason.
